About the Role

Yugabyte is searching for a visionary and high-impact Senior Director of Product Management to spearhead the strategic evolution of YugabyteDB Aeon, our flagship fully managed cloud-native database service. In this pivotal leadership role, you will be the primary architect of our cloud product roadmap, ensuring that YugabyteDB Aeon meets the rigorous demands of modern, global enterprises. As businesses rapidly migrate away from legacy RDBMS systems like Oracle and SQL Server, you will empower them with a PostgreSQL-compatible, distributed architecture that eliminates the trade-offs between scalability and consistency. You will operate at the intersection of deep technical innovation and commercial strategy, driving the growth of our SaaS platform and reinforcing Yugabyte�s position as the undisputed industry leader in the distributed SQL market.

• Define and execute the long-term product vision for YugabyteDB Aeon, focusing on horizontal scalability, fault tolerance, and a superior developer experience.
• Lead the commercial strategy for our SaaS portfolio, including evolving pricing models, service plans, and the technical advancement of our Bring Your Own Cloud (BYOC) architecture.
• Deepen integrations with major Cloud Service Provider (CSP) ecosystems and accelerate market growth through strategic expansion on AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud marketplaces.
• Foster a culture of customer-centric innovation by engaging directly with global enterprise users to translate complex pain points into actionable, high-value product requirements.
• Orchestrate high-impact cross-functional collaboration between engineering, sales, marketing, and customer success teams to ensure the flawless execution of feature rollouts.
• Utilize rigorous data-driven insights and market analysis to prioritize enhancements that deliver maximum business value and maintain competitive differentiation.
• Act as a key evangelist for YugabyteDB, communicating the unique value of our distributed SQL architecture to both internal stakeholders and external executive audiences.
• Monitor emerging industry trends and competitor offerings to proactively inform product pivots and maintain our technological edge in the database revolution.

• Proven track record of success in product management, specifically taking complex data systems or infrastructure platforms to market as a SaaS offering.
• Deep technical expertise in computer science or a related field, with a mastery of distributed systems, storage architectures, and relational database management systems.
• Extensive experience in both inbound product development (technical roadmap) and outbound go-to-market activities (sales enablement and marketing).
• Strong understanding of the technical and commercial dynamics involved in navigating major cloud provider technical ecosystems and marketplaces.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to distill highly complex architectural concepts into compelling narratives for diverse audiences.
• Demonstrated leadership experience, with a history of delivering substantial products that have significantly impacted customer outcomes and overall business growth.
• A relentless focus on customer success, ensuring that every product decision is aligned with the practical requirements of developers and operators.
• Strong preference for candidates with experience in PostgreSQL, SQL optimization, or products designed for modern cloud-native developers.
