About the Role
Avery Dennison is seeking a visionary and results-driven Vice President of Operations to join the leadership team of our Vestcom business. This executive role is pivotal in shaping the strategic direction of our operations and customer experience functions, ensuring the seamless delivery of high-quality, technology-driven shelf-edge solutions to the world’s leading retailers. As a key member of the Vestcom Leadership Team, you will foster a culture of safety, innovation, and high performance while driving year-over-year improvements across global service bureaus.
The successful candidate will lead with a focus on operational agility, financial stewardship, and organizational development. You will be responsible for translating market needs into manufacturing excellence, managing complex supply chains, and building robust succession plans to ensure long-term business resilience. Reporting directly to the VP & General Manager of Vestcom, you will serve as a catalyst for growth, leveraging data-integrated media solutions to engage shoppers at the point of decision and maintain our industry-leading position.
Key Responsibilities- Direct the strategic vision for Operations, Supply Chain, Machine Group, and Customer Experience functions across the Vestcom division.
- Accountable for the successful delivery of products on time and in full (OTIF), while optimizing financial results, quality standards, and safety performance.
- Oversee long-term operational capacity planning, including organizational design, skill development, and infrastructure scaling.
- Implement and champion world-class manufacturing practices to enhance efficiency and maintain a strict focus on environmental, health, and safety (EHS) standards.
- Manage P&L responsibilities, conducting regular business reviews and collaborating with financial management to monitor action plans for profitable growth.
- Cultivate a safety-first culture characterized by high employee engagement, trust, teamwork, and mutual respect.
- Foster strategic relationships with internal and external partners to integrate cutting-edge technological improvements into manufacturing processes.
- Lead the annual strategic planning process, establishing and managing targets for critical financial and operational KPIs.
- 12+ years of progressive leadership experience in Operations, including site management and oversight of multi-functional organizational initiatives.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field; a Master’s degree (MBA) is highly preferred.
- Proven track record of P&L management and expertise in financial planning and forecasting.
- Demonstrated ability to lead large, diverse teams through complex change management and strategy implementation.
- Expertise in project management, including the oversight of significant capital and expense budgeting (CAPEX/OPEX).
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to inspire a workforce and hold teams accountable for performance.
