Key ResponsibilitiesIn this role, you will take full ownership of product features from initial conception through to successful launch and iteration. This includes defining detailed user stories, functional and non-functional requirements, and comprehensive feature specifications. You will serve as the bridge between market needs and technical execution, conducting deep-dive interviews with customers and industry experts to uncover pain points and translate them into actionable product roadmaps.
- Drive the product vision for the Clinical Database (CDB) by managing the prioritization of features based on market demand and strategic value.
- Author high-quality design specifications within an agile framework, ensuring that all requirements align with both industry standards and downstream customer needs.
- Lead sprint and release planning sessions to ensure that product enhancements are delivered in the right sequence and at the optimal time for our global user base.
- Work in close partnership with Engineering, Quality Assurance, and DevOps teams to guarantee that every product update is built with scalability and reliability in mind.
- Develop and maintain deep subject matter expertise in Clinical Trial Data, staying ahead of industry trends and regulatory changes to keep Veeva at the forefront of the life sciences cloud.
- Advocate for the user by ensuring that all product designs are intuitive, efficient, and capable of solving complex data modeling challenges.
The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a proven track record of bringing successful SaaS products to market. You should possess the technical depth to discuss data modeling with engineers and the communication prowess to present product roadmaps to senior stakeholders. We are looking for a self-starter who can work independently while maintaining high levels of collaboration across a distributed team.
- At least 5 years of professional experience in Product Management or a closely related technical role in the software industry.
- Demonstrated expertise in data modeling and a strong understanding of how to structure complex datasets for enterprise applications.
- Proficiency with agile development tools, specifically JIRA and Confluence, to manage backlogs and document specifications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- A Bachelor’s degree is required; an undergraduate or graduate degree in Computer Science or Engineering is considered a significant advantage.
- Previous experience within the clinical trials or life sciences industry is highly desirable but not required.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the USA and comfortable working in a fully remote, high-growth environment.
