Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Senior QA Automation Engineer, your primary objective will be to design, develop, and maintain comprehensive automated testing frameworks from the ground up. You will collaborate closely with software developers, product managers, and stakeholders to define testing requirements and ensure broad coverage across our entire software ecosystem. This involves creating sophisticated test scripts that validate complex workflows, API integrations, and user interface components. You will be expected to integrate these automated suites into our existing CI/CD pipelines, facilitating rapid deployment cycles without compromising on quality.
In addition to technical execution, you will play a vital role in the strategic planning of our quality assurance roadmap. This includes performing thorough root cause analysis of defects, identifying bottlenecks in the development process, and advocating for best practices in test-driven development (TDD). You will also mentor junior team members, conducting code reviews of test scripts and providing guidance on advanced automation techniques. By maintaining a high standard of documentation for test cases and procedures, you will ensure that our testing efforts are sustainable and transparent across the entire organization.
QualificationsThe successful candidate will possess a minimum of five years of professional experience in software quality assurance, with a significant emphasis on automation. We require a Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience in the industry. You must demonstrate expert-level proficiency in at least one major programming language, such as Java, Python, or JavaScript, and have extensive experience working with modern automation frameworks like Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright. A deep understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies is essential for success in this role.
We are looking for someone who is technically curious and stays abreast of the latest industry trends. Candidates should have hands-on experience with API testing tools like Postman or RestAssured and be comfortable working with cloud-based environments such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform. Excellent communication skills are paramount, as you will be required to articulate complex technical issues to both technical and non-technical team members. Prior experience working in a remote-first environment is highly preferred, as is a strong familiarity with containerization tools like Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
