Key Responsibilities

Your primary objective is to achieve and exceed sales targets through proactive personal selling and the strategic expansion of our distribution network. You will spend significant time in the market, visiting various touchpoints to ensure our brands maintain a dominant presence.

  • Drive the distribution system by managing both front-end and back-end infrastructure to ensure seamless product flow and availability.
  • Systematically analyze and extract data from MIS reports to identify execution gaps and capitalize on growth opportunities within your specific geography.
  • Conduct high-level negotiations with distributors to align on business objectives and ensure maximum market penetration.
  • Train and develop distributor staff, enhancing their customer management skills to drive higher business volume and loyalty.
  • Cultivate and leverage strong relationships with trade partners to strengthen Unilever’s market position and gain competitive advantages.
  • Provide detailed market feedback and comprehensive reports to the branch office, highlighting trends, competitor activities, and consumer insights.
  • Enhance competitive positioning by improving customer service standards and ensuring distributor performance meets Unilever’s rigorous benchmarks.
  • Monitor distributor infrastructure and sales team performance consistently, taking corrective actions and closing infrastructure gaps when necessary.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you must possess a strong background in channel sales and a deep understanding of the FMCG distribution landscape. We are looking for candidates who are data-driven and possess excellent interpersonal skills.

  • A minimum of a full-time Graduation degree from a recognized university.
  • At least 2 years of proven experience in Channel Sales, preferably within the FMCG or consumer goods sector.
  • Expertise in ROI (Return on Investment) calculations and Redistribution Stockist (RS) management.
  • Prior experience in RS appointment, sales planning, and conducting large-scale promotional activities.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly advanced Excel for data interpretation.
  • Effective communication skills in both English and the local language of Rajasthan to manage diverse stakeholders.
  • A proactive mindset with the ability to work independently in a field-based, remote-management environment.
