About the Role

Thermal Works LLC is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Technical Writer & Product Engineer to join our innovative team. This critical role bridges the gap between complex engineering concepts and practical application, ensuring that our cutting-edge HVAC and thermal systems are supported by world-class documentation. Working cross-functionally across Operations, Engineering, Project Management, and Manufacturing, you will own the end-to-end documentation lifecycle for sustainable cooling solutions that are revolutionizing the data center industry. As we transform the economics of commercial cooling with zero-water solutions, we need a professional who can translate technical excellence into clear, revision-controlled guides that support our growth and environmental mission.

As a key member of our technical team, you will be responsible for ensuring that all product documentation remains technically accurate and aligned with released product configurations. We are looking for an individual who combines the precision of an engineer with the clarity of a professional writer. You will thrive in an environment where change happens quickly and where honesty, reliability, and self-motivation are the standard. At Thermal Works, you aren't just creating manuals; you are building the knowledge base for a more sustainable planet, working within the broader Endeavour Energy ecosystem to deliver high-performance infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own the creation, release, and configuration alignment of technical documentation for complex HVAC and thermal systems used in mission-critical data center applications.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Operations, and Manufacturing teams to capture technical requirements and translate them into user-friendly documentation.
  • Manage the full lifecycle of documentation, from initial product development and submittal creation to manufacturing instructions, installation guides, and field support manuals.
  • Implement and maintain rigorous revision control processes to ensure all documentation stays aligned with current product configurations and engineering changes.
  • Develop high-quality submittal packages that clearly communicate system specifications to clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Support field service teams by producing troubleshooting guides and maintenance procedures that reflect real-world mechanical and thermal system operations.
  • Audit existing documentation libraries to identify gaps in technical accuracy or configuration control and drive continuous improvement in document workflows.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in technical writing within a mechanical engineering, manufacturing, or construction environment, ideally focused on HVAC or thermal systems.
  • Strong foundational knowledge of mechanical equipment, fluid dynamics, or thermal management systems.
  • Demonstrated expertise in document control, configuration management, and revision tracking systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs, and CAD models to extract relevant technical information.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams, including superstar performers and ultra-creative engineers.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard documentation software, PLM systems, and content management tools.
  • A proactive, self-motivated approach with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • A deep commitment to sustainability and a desire to contribute to energy-efficient, zero-water cooling technologies.
Benefits
  • Opportunity to work with a cutting-edge company dedicated to eco-friendly, sustainable infrastructure and energy reduction.
  • Highly collaborative and inclusive work culture within the Endeavour Energy, LLC parent company ecosystem.
  • Flexibility and remote work opportunities for self-driven professionals who can deliver high-value results.
  • Endless growth and professional development opportunities in a rapidly expanding sector of the data center industry.
  • The chance to make a tangible positive impact on the world by transforming the environmental footprint of commercial cooling.
  • Competitive compensation package and a working environment that values humility, honesty, and high performance.
