As a lead curator and art consultant, your primary responsibility will be to facilitate comprehensive consultations with clients to understand their spatial needs and aesthetic preferences. You will be expected to provide expert guidance on how various pieces of art can transform a space, communicating effectively throughout the entire lifecycle of a project. This includes offering bespoke solutions such as custom framing, ensuring that every element of the artwork flows perfectly within its specific architectural context. You will take a hands-on approach to the physical installation of pieces, carefully placing artwork to achieve the precise mood, feel, or look requested by the client.

Beyond aesthetics, you will leverage your deep industry knowledge to conduct professional art appraisals, providing valuations that reflect your expertise in the field. A significant portion of this role involves building and maintaining a robust network of local, national, and international galleries. You will collaborate closely with independent artists, gallery proprietors, and managers to source a broad and diverse range of art. For unique projects, you will be responsible for commissioning custom-made artwork tailored for specific occasions or environments. Throughout this process, you must demonstrate exceptional fiscal responsibility, working within a variety of budget constraints while maintaining the highest standards of quality. Furthermore, you will stay at the forefront of the art world by continuously monitoring emerging trends, new artists, and evolving market dynamics.

To be successful in this role, candidates must possess a Master�s degree in Arts Business or a closely related field. This academic foundation is essential for navigating the complex commercial and legal aspects of the art market. We require 6 to 8 years of professional experience in art consultation, gallery management, or corporate curation. You should have a proven track record of managing large-scale art projects and a portfolio that demonstrates your ability to curate collections for diverse spaces. Technical expertise in art handling and a sophisticated understanding of art history and contemporary trends are mandatory.
