Key Responsibilities

You will take full ownership of the digital safety landscape for the shop floor, conducting virtual safety audits and utilizing IoT-enabled monitoring systems to maintain a zero-incident environment. In this capacity, you are the primary guardian of safety protocols, ensuring that all cold end activities in Float Line 1 adhere to strict corporate guidelines. In terms of production planning, you will serve as the lead analyst for plan actualization, identifying the root causes of any deviations from the production schedule and implementing remote adjustments to keep the Float Line on track. Quality management is a cornerstone of this role; you will oversee the digital parameters for cutting, handling, and packing, ensuring that every piece of glass meets our rigorous internal standards to maximize quality products and significantly reduce customer claims. Additionally, you will play a critical role in asset management by monitoring real-time machine health metrics to prevent breakdowns and reduce cold-end-related losses. By interpreting predictive maintenance data, you will coordinate with on-site teams to ensure the float line operates at peak efficiency. Finally, you will spearhead 5S improvement initiatives, digitizing workflow documentation and promoting a culture of continuous improvement and organizational excellence across the Cold End division to enhance overall workplace productivity.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess a Bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field. A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in a high-volume manufacturing environmentideally within the glass industry or continuous process industryis highly preferred. You must demonstrate strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex production datasets and KPIs remotely. Proficiency in ERP systems, such as SAP, as well as experience with digital twins and remote monitoring software is essential for success in this digital-first role. We are looking for a proactive communicator who can collaborate effectively with cross-functional on-site teams to solve technical problems in real-time. A deep understanding of 5S methodologies, Six Sigma, and Lean Manufacturing principles will set you apart from other candidates. Candidates must be comfortable working in a results-oriented environment where data-driven decision-making is the norm.
