Key ResponsibilitiesIn this role, you will be at the forefront of our engineering efforts, taking full ownership of the technical direction and execution of our iOS application. You will be expected to actively ship production-ready code that enhances the user experience for millions of people worldwide. This involves not only writing features but also maintaining and evolving a complex application architecture that supports high-concurrency audio processing and sophisticated offline capabilities.
- Lead significant engineering and product decisions that define the trajectory of the Speechify iOS ecosystem.
- Collaborate closely within a dedicated product team to brainstorm, prototype, and implement features that delight our massive user base.
- Engage in deep technical discussions to shape the product roadmap, balancing rapid speed of delivery with long-term architectural stability.

We are looking for a Senior iOS Engineer who thrives in a fast-paced startup environment and possesses a deep obsession with customer satisfaction. You should have a proven track record of building and scaling mobile products from early-stage concepts to widespread market adoption. You must be comfortable with the autonomy of remote work and possess the communication skills necessary to succeed in a highly asynchronous and distributed culture.
- Extensive professional experience developing iOS applications with a focus on high-scale, consumer-facing production environments.
- Mastery of the Swift programming language and modern UI frameworks, with specific, deep expertise in SwiftUI.
- Deep understanding of multithreaded programming and concurrency management to handle complex audio data and background workflows.
- Strong grasp of SOLID principles and clean architecture, with the ability to write modular, maintainable, and highly testable code.
- Hands-on experience managing CI/CD infrastructure and mobile automation tools like Fastlane to streamline the release process.
- Proficiency with Git and sophisticated branching strategies to manage collaborative development in a fast-moving team.
- A product-centric mindset, with the ability to provide meaningful input to designers and product managers regarding technical feasibility and user impact.
- The ability to work with extreme focus, identifying what can be shipped immediately to provide value versus what requires deeper technical investment.
