About the Role

Precision AQ is at the forefront of delivering innovative healthcare technology solutions, and we are looking for a dedicated Software Engineer II to join our dynamic Technical Operations team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end configuration and delivery of our client-facing applications, ensuring that every deployment meets the highest standards of quality and performance. As a key contributor to our technical ecosystem, you will work under the guidance of senior leadership to enhance processes, troubleshoot complex issues, and maintain the overall health of our healthcare application suite. This is a unique opportunity for a detail-oriented engineer to make a significant impact in a remote-first environment where technical precision and regulatory compliance are paramount.

As a Software Engineer II, your primary focus will be the seamless execution of technical requirements gathered by our engagement teams. You will act as a bridge between high-level client needs and functional application reality, ensuring that every configuration adheres strictly to Medical, Legal, and Regulatory (MLR) guidelines. Beyond configuration, you will play a critical role in the ongoing maintenance of our systems, conducting deep-dive root cause analysis for any application issues and collaborating closely with our Infrastructure Service Support team to ensure a stable and reliable user experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Configure and update client-facing applications with high precision, ensuring total alignment with technical requirements and strict adherence to industry-specific MLR guidelines.
  • Serve as the primary representative for the Application Operations and Development team across all active projects, providing technical insights and status updates.
  • Lead the setup and management of environments for new implementations, ensuring that systems are optimized for performance from day one.
  • Coordinate directly with the Application Development Team to manage software releases across User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and Production environments, maintaining zero-downtime objectives.
  • Configure and manage Single Sign-On (SSO) integrations for various client builds, ensuring secure and streamlined access for all users.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve complex application issues through thorough root cause analysis and proactive system monitoring.
  • Champion the documentation process by creating and maintaining standard operating procedures and contributing to the internal Wiki for shared knowledge and process consistency.
  • Support the development and execution of product unit tests to facilitate robust application regression testing for future releases.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), such as bug density and deployment velocity, to drive continuous improvement within the development lifecycle.
  • Participate actively in daily stand-up meetings to align on goals, identify blockers, and foster a collaborative team environment.
Qualifications
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience in a technical operations role.
  • Proven experience in software configuration and maintenance, preferably within the healthcare or life sciences sectors.
  • Strong understanding of Medical, Legal, and Regulatory (MLR) guidelines and their application in digital software development.
  • Technical proficiency in environment setup, SSO integrations, and version control systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform root cause analysis and troubleshoot multi-tier application architectures.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage client relationships and collaborate effectively with infrastructure and engagement teams.
  • Experience with change management procedures and the ability to maintain meticulous documentation and SOPs.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and participation in daily Scrum or stand-up environments.
  • A proactive mindset with the ability to work independently in a remote setting while meeting tight project deadlines.
Benefits
  • Fully remote work environment, offering flexibility and a healthy work-life balance.
  • Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package tailored to your professional needs.
  • Opportunities for career advancement and professional development under the mentorship of senior engineers.
  • Collaborative and inclusive company culture that values innovation and technical excellence.
  • The chance to work on high-impact projects that directly contribute to the improvement of healthcare delivery and technology.
