About the Role
Patreon's Identity and Access team builds and maintains core systems related to user identity and authentication. As part of the Risk Engineering organization, you will work on identity verification, authentication flows, and account takeover detection.
About the Role- Write backend/full stack code as part of Patreon’s core product.
- Build and deploy user-facing systems such as multi-factor authentication flows and ID verification.
- Engage with stakeholders to define requirements balancing security, privacy, and compliance.
- Collaborate with product managers, data scientists, and designers to deliver high-quality features.
- Champion innovative solutions that improve security and usability for creators and fans.
- 2-3+ years of experience in software development.
- Experience with Python or a similar language.
- Familiarity with security and privacy concerns inherent to identity data or authentication flows.
- Comfortable with data storage techniques, data modeling, and performance optimization.
- Experience working on consumer-facing features where quality and user experience are paramount.
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
