Key Responsibilities

  • Enforce community guidelines by identifying and removing offensive, spammy, or inappropriate content in a timely and professional manner.
  • Engage with followers by answering general inquiries, providing helpful resources, and fostering positive conversations to build long-term community loyalty.
  • Identify and escalate potential public relations crises, sensitive issues, or recurring customer complaints to the senior management team before they escalate.
  • Collaborate with content creators and marketing managers to provide detailed feedback on audience sentiment and emerging performance trends.
  • Maintain a consistent brand voice across all interactions, ensuring that the tone and style align perfectly with specific client requirements and cultural contexts.
  • Stay updated on the latest social media trends, algorithm changes, and platform-specific moderation tools to improve efficiency and community health.
  • Compile weekly reports on community health, engagement metrics, and common user inquiries to help shape future content and communication strategies.

Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a Social Media Moderator, Community Manager, or in a similar digital customer service role with a focus on online communities.
  • Exceptional written communication skills in English, with a keen eye for grammar, tone, and the ability to interpret cultural nuances in digital communication.
  • Deep familiarity with major social media platforms and their respective moderation tools, algorithms, and community standards.
  • Strong ability to remain objective, professional, and calm when dealing with challenging users, trolls, or controversial topics.
  • Excellent time-management skills and the self-discipline to work independently in a fast-paced, remote environment while meeting strict response-time targets.
  • High level of emotional intelligence and the ability to empathize with community members while consistently upholding community rules.
  • Proficiency in using social media management software such as Hootsuite, Sprout Social, or Buffer is considered a significant advantage.
