Key Responsibilities- Support the daily operations of the Supreme Court by providing professional assistance to judicial officers, legal practitioners, and members of the public.
- Perform the duties of a Jury Escort, ensuring the well-being, security, and impartiality of jurors throughout the trial process.
- Assist the Sheriff in the execution of statutory functions as mandated by the Sheriff Act 1962, including the service and enforcement of court process.
- Maintain order and decorum within the court precincts to ensure a safe environment for all participants.
- Manage sensitive documentation and administrative tasks related to the Supreme Court Registry with high attention to detail.
- Coordinate with local law enforcement and other justice agencies to facilitate the smooth transit of individuals and legal materials.
- Provide clear and concise information to court users regarding court procedures and protocols.
- Proven experience in administrative support, law enforcement, or a regulatory environment, preferably within a legal or government context.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and empathetically with diverse stakeholders, including individuals in high-stress situations.
- Strong understanding of or the ability to quickly acquire knowledge of the Sheriff Act 1962 and relevant court procedures.
- High level of personal integrity and the ability to maintain strict confidentiality regarding sensitive legal matters.
