Contact Government Services (CGS) is searching for a dedicated and highly skilled Senior Veritas eDiscovery Platform (eDP) Engineer to join our fast-paced legal technology team. As a Senior Engineer, you will be the primary technical lead for the Veritas eDiscovery Platform, which is hosted on a sophisticated infrastructure of physical and virtualized Windows Servers. Your role will involve a comprehensive range of engineering tasks, from high-level system architecture and cloud migration to daily maintenance and troubleshooting. You will be expected to thrive under pressure, adjusting to changing priorities while delivering high-quality results that support legal programs such as the FBIs Criminal Discovery Program and the Office of the General Counsel (OGC). Key ResponsibilitiesThe Senior Veritas eDiscovery Platform Engineer is responsible for the full lifecycle management of the eDP environment. Your primary duties will include:
- Performing advanced configurations, proactive maintenance, and comprehensive monitoring of the Veritas eDiscovery Platform to ensure 24/7 availability.
- Leading Level 1 and Level 2 escalation responses for system outages, providing rapid troubleshooting and prompt corrective actions.
- Architecting and facilitating the migration of on-premises system implementations into secure cloud infrastructures to enhance scalability and performance.
- Developing custom PowerShell and VBScripts to automate routine maintenance tasks, system checks, and administrative workflows.
- Managing system integrity by applying OS patches, software upgrades, and security updates in accordance with strict government compliance policies.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders in technical meetings to review program objectives and provide engineering guidance.
- Reviewing and processing service tickets within the Service Manager database, ensuring all requests are handled according to established Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Executing complex storage migrations, processing decommissioning tasks, and coordinating logistics with vendors and site support teams.
- Conducting daily system audits to verify the integrity of hardware, server resources, and scheduled jobs such as backups.
To be successful in this role, candidates must possess a deep technical background in eDiscovery engineering and systems administration. Required qualifications include:
- Extensive experience engineering and maintaining the Veritas eDiscovery Platform (eDP) in a large-scale enterprise environment.
- Strong proficiency in administering physical and virtualized Windows Server environments.
- Proven ability to create and implement automation scripts using PowerShell or VBScript to improve operational efficiency.
- Expertise in cloud infrastructure migrations and managing technology in remote or distributed environments.
- Demonstrated experience with change control boards and maintaining rigorous engineering documentation.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and adapt to the shifting priorities of federal legal programs.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to lead technical assessments and explain complex engineering concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Prior experience supporting government agencies, such as the FBI or OGC, is highly preferred.
