Senior Technical Lead

About the Role

Calibrate Group AI is hiring our founding technical hire—a Senior Technical Lead who will own the entire technical vision and execution. This is a co-builder role focused on application-layer engineering, building AI tools that solve real problems for business operators.

What You'll Own:

• Designing and building custom AI implementations for SMB clients from discovery through deployment.
• Integrations across platforms including Toast, Square, Mindbody, QuickBooks, and HubSpot.
• Managing the AI tooling stack (Claude API, Make.com, Clay) and internal delivery systems.
• Ongoing maintenance, optimization, and evolution of client AI systems.
• Developing the client-facing portal and delivery infrastructure.
• Technical hiring as the company scales.

What We're Looking For:

• 8+ years of engineering experience shipping real SaaS products.
• AI-native workflow expertise: Cursor, Claude API, and Make.com are daily tools.
• Experience leading small teams with a focus on business outcomes over just code.
• Former founding engineer or technical co-founder background is strongly preferred.
• Comfortable with ambiguity and building the plane while flying it.
