Senior Solutions Architect

About the Role

540 is seeking a Senior Solutions Architect to support a partnership with Google and the Department of the Air Force in building new capabilities for an integration platform. This role involves leading technical architecture efforts and driving the design of complex, distributed systems leveraging Google Cloud, Apigee, and Kubernetes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the architecture and delivery of an Air Force integration platform.
• Design and guide implementation of scalable, secure, and maintainable cloud architectures.
• Partner with engineers, architects, and product stakeholders to translate mission needs into technical solutions.
• Support engineering teams in designing, building, and troubleshooting distributed systems and cloud-native applications.
• Drive architectural decisions across cloud, networking, system design, and service integrations.
• Enable disconnected operations (offline-first) capabilities to ensure platform reliability in degraded or low-connectivity environments.

Requirements:

• U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance.
• Bachelor�s Degree in Computer Science or a related engineering field (preferred).
• Must be located within the continental United States.
