Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Senior Software Engineer at Prove, you will lead the design and implementation of highly scalable, distributed systems that form the core of our identity tokenization platform. Your work will directly influence how millions of consumers interact with digital brands daily. Your core duties will include:
- Architecting and developing high-performance microservices that support billions of annual transactions with low latency and high availability.
- Implementing and optimizing cryptographic security protocols and phone-centric identity solutions to enhance consumer privacy and reduce digital fraud.
- Collaborating closely with Product Managers, Data Scientists, and fellow Engineers to translate complex business requirements into elegant technical solutions.
- Leading code reviews and promoting engineering excellence through rigorous testing, documentation, and continuous integration/deployment (CI/CD) practices.
- Mentoring junior and mid-level engineers, fostering a culture of technical growth, innovation, and shared ownership.
- Troubleshooting complex production issues and performing deep-dive root cause analysis to ensure the long-term stability of the Prove ecosystem.
- Participating in architectural design sessions to evolve our cloud-native infrastructure, ensuring it remains agile and capable of supporting our rapid enterprise growth.
To succeed in this role, you should be a seasoned technologist with a proven track record of building robust backend systems in a fast-paced environment. We are looking for candidates who possess:
- A Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Extensive professional experience in backend software development, specifically using modern languages such as Go (Golang), Java, or Python.
- Deep expertise in building and maintaining distributed systems, RESTful APIs, and microservices architecture within cloud environments like AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- A strong understanding of database technologies, including both SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (DynamoDB, Redis) solutions.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of security principles, including OAuth, OpenID Connect, and modern cryptographic standards.
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
