About the Role

Glia is redefining the customer service landscape for banks and credit unions by unifying AI and human agents across digital and voice channels through our proprietary ChannelLess™ Architecture. As a Senior Sales Engineer, you will join a Deloitte Technology Fast 500™ company valued at over $1 billion, where you will play a pivotal role in helping over 700 financial institutions overcome the traditional trade-offs between efficiency and excellence. This is a high-impact position designed for a proactive problem-solver who can navigate complex technical landscapes while maintaining a strategic, business-oriented mindset.

In this senior-level capacity, you will serve as the primary technical authority and trusted advisor throughout the sales lifecycle. You will engage deeply with prospective clients to guide their digital transformation journeys, leveraging Glia's AI for All™ suite to elevate their service operations. This role is perfect for a technical professional who enjoys a dynamic mix of strategic sales, proof-of-concept leadership, and cross-functional collaboration. You will not only prove the technical viability of our solutions but also shape the way financial services organizations interact with their customers in a digital-first world.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and resolve multifaceted technical challenges independently, acting as a strategic partner to sales leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • Serve as the definitive Subject Matter Expert (SME) for API data integrations and the comprehensive Glia product ecosystem.
  • Develop and execute robust risk mitigation strategies to proactively identify and neutralize technical hurdles during the enterprise sales cycle.
  • Architect and present sophisticated technical solutions during executive-level meetings, ensuring clarity and alignment with high-level business objectives.
  • Foster deep, personalized relationships with technical and business stakeholders at banks and credit unions to drive long-term business growth.
  • Design and implement technical artifacts, including serverless functions and integration applets, to demonstrate the power of Glia’s workflows.
  • Navigate complex communication challenges across diverse departments to ensure seamless alignment during the implementation and sales phases.
  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to the global sales engineering knowledge base by sharing case studies, best practices, and innovative solution stories.
  • Maintain an pulse on industry trends within the financial services and CX sectors to provide strategic insights during internal and external discussions.

Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in a pre-sales engineering, solutions architecture, or a comparable customer-facing technical role within an enterprise software environment.
  • Demonstrated hands-on coding proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS, with the ability to build, modify, and explain working technical examples.
  • Extensive experience working with REST APIs, webhooks, and event-driven architectures, including deep knowledge of authentication, payloads, and debugging.
  • Proven track record of creating technical proof-of-concept (POC) artifacts such as automation scripts, backend services, or complex integration workflows.
  • Exceptional ability to translate technical jargon into business outcomes, guiding both technical and non-technical stakeholders through complex trade-offs.
  • Strong executive presence with the ability to lead high-stakes technical conversations and whiteboarding sessions with senior leadership and executive buyers.
  • Experience within the B2B SaaS sector, particularly regarding customer experience (CX), customer service personas, or contact center operational realities.
  • Familiarity with telephony, SIP, or VoIP concepts and previous experience selling into the financial services or banking sectors is highly preferred.

Benefits
  • Competitive salary and equity through stock options in a high-growth, billion-dollar organization.
  • Comprehensive professional development support, including funding for training, certifications, conferences, and books.
  • Access to premium tools and modern equipment to ensure you have everything needed to succeed in a remote environment.
  • Holistic wellness benefits, including sports compensation and reimbursement for therapy or counseling sessions.
  • A vibrant company culture featuring annual employee awards, internal hackathons, and global team events like the Glia Olympic Games.
  • A diverse and inclusive workplace representing over 25 countries, certified as a Great Place to Work with 98% employee satisfaction.
