Senior Quality Engineer

About the Role

Tellent is seeking a dedicated Senior Quality Engineer to take ownership of the quality standards for our flagship HR platform. In this high-impact, hands-on role, you will work alongside an established QE team to evolve our test automation strategy, expand end-to-end coverage, and elevate our backend testing capabilities. As a senior member of the quality team, your role focuses on both strategic growth and technical execution. You will drive the long-term vision of our quality practices while ensuring daily excellence in software delivery.

• Partner with developers and fellow Quality Engineers to embed quality early in the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), fostering a culture of shared responsibility.
• Drive the test automation strategy across the Tellent HR suite, maintaining and scaling a robust codebase as our product ecosystem expands.
• Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and automated scripts using Playwright to ensure seamless end-to-end functionality.
• Take deep ownership of specific product domains, identifying technical risks early and guiding the team through complex quality decisions.
• Advance our backend testing standards by performing rigorous testing on GraphQL APIs and backend services.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of our development workflows, ensuring that automation provides fast and reliable feedback loops.

We are looking for a technical leader who balances product-minded thinking with deep engineering expertise. The ideal candidate thrives in a remote, international environment and possesses the following:

• Extensive experience in Quality Engineering, with a proven track record of owning quality for complex, high-traffic web applications at a senior level.
• Advanced proficiency in end-to-end automation, specifically building and maintaining scalable test suites using Playwright.
• Strong technical skills in backend and API testing, with hands-on experience working with GraphQL architectures.
• A product-centric mindset, capable of translating business requirements into technical test cases while advocating for the end-user experience.
• Excellent communication skills with professional fluency in both English and Polish to facilitate seamless collaboration within our regional and global teams.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and a desire to mentor others in modern testing best practices.
