About the Role
TRE ALTAMIRA, a proud member of the CLS Group, stands at the forefront of the global satellite radar data processing industry. We are currently seeking a Senior Golang Developer to join our multidisciplinary team of experts dedicated to pushing the boundaries of Interferometric Synthetic Aperture Radar (InSAR) applications. In this role, you will be instrumental in developing the core infrastructure that processes massive volumes of satellite imagery, translating complex radar data into actionable displacement measurements that help monitor our planet’s infrastructure and environmental health on a global scale.
As a senior member of our engineering department, you will tackle the challenges of processing petabytes of geospatial data while maintaining high availability and low latency. You will work within a collaborative ecosystem of data scientists, radar engineers, and cloud architects to ensure our patented algorithms are implemented with the highest standards of performance and reliability. This position is ideal for a developer who thrives on solving complex distributed systems problems and is passionate about leveraging space-tech for real-world impact.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance, scalable microservices using Golang to support our core radar data processing engines.
- Architect and optimize distributed systems capable of handling large-scale geospatial datasets and complex algorithmic computations in real-time.
- Collaborate closely with radar scientists to translate proprietary radar imagery processing algorithms into efficient, production-ready code.
- Lead the modernization of our backend services, ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our cloud-native infrastructure through industry-standard DevOps practices.
- Drive the technical roadmap for our backend systems, conducting thorough code reviews and establishing best practices for software quality and maintainability.
- Proactively identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in production environments to ensure the 24/7 availability of critical monitoring services.
- Act as a mentor to junior and mid-level developers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement within the engineering team.
- Extensive professional experience in software development, with a minimum of 5 years specifically focused on building production-grade applications in Golang.
- Expert-level understanding of Go’s concurrency patterns, memory management, profiling, and performance tuning techniques.
- Proven track record of designing and deploying resilient microservices within major cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Deep experience with containerization and orchestration technologies, specifically Docker and Kubernetes, in a production setting.
- Strong proficiency in database design and optimization, including both relational systems like PostgreSQL and NoSQL solutions like MongoDB or Redis.
- Familiarity with distributed messaging systems and event-driven architectures using tools such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or NATS.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate complex, multidisciplinary technical challenges in a global team setting.
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
