About the Role

ShipBob is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Senior Director of Fulfillment Operations to join our high-growth team. This pivotal leadership role requires a strategic thinker who can bridge the gap between high-level operational vision and ground-level execution excellence. As a core member of the ShipBob team, you will champion an ownership mindset, driving tangible solutions for our merchants and contributing to the continuous innovation of our global fulfillment network. This is a unique opportunity to do the most meaningful work of your career in a collaborative environment where feedback is valued, transparency is the norm, and leaders are dedicated to mutual success. We are looking for a visionary who thrives on solving complex problems and is ready to move the needle for our merchants and our industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and scale comprehensive fulfillment operations across a diverse multi-site network, ensuring consistent service levels and world-class operational efficiency.
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement by implementing Lean methodologies and Six Sigma principles to optimize warehouse workflows and significantly reduce waste.
  • Manage large-scale operational budgets and P&L responsibilities, utilizing data-driven insights to improve margins and enhance merchant satisfaction.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and Sales teams to integrate cutting-edge technologies and streamline the end-to-end merchant experience.
  • Mentor and develop a high-performing team of operational leaders, fostering an environment rooted in professional growth, accountability, and high performance standards.
  • Oversee the implementation and optimization of advanced Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and automation technologies to enhance global throughput and accuracy.
  • Ensure strict compliance with all safety, health, and environmental regulations across the fulfillment network, prioritizing a safe and inclusive workspace for all.
  • Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify emerging trends, forecast future capacity needs, and mitigate operational risks before they impact the business.
  • Champion transparency and mutual respect, facilitating two-way feedback loops between leadership and front-line operational staff.
Qualifications
  • At least 10 to 12 years of progressive leadership experience in supply chain management, logistics, or large-scale e-commerce fulfillment operations.
  • Proven track record of managing complex operational teams and delivering successful outcomes in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Deep expertise in logistics technology, including extensive experience with modern WMS, TMS, and automated material handling equipment.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a demonstrated ability to translate complex data sets into actionable operational strategies.
  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels, from warehouse associates to C-suite executives.
  • A Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field; an MBA or advanced degree is highly preferred.
  • Professional certifications in Lean Six Sigma (Green or Black Belt) are considered a significant advantage for this role.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain an ownership mindset, taking full accountability for results and driving proactive innovation within the organization.
Benefits
  • Competitive base salary and a performance-based bonus structure designed to reward excellence.
  • Generous equity package, providing you with a meaningful stake in the long-term success and growth of ShipBob.
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance plans to support the health of you and your family.
  • Flexible Paid Time Off (PTO) policy and paid holidays to support a healthy and sustainable work-life balance.
  • Remote-first work environment equipped with the tools and support needed to lead effectively from any location.
  • Extensive opportunities for professional development, including leadership training, workshops, and industry certifications.
  • A collaborative and transparent company culture that prioritizes mutual respect, diversity, and continuous learning.
  • 401(k) retirement savings plan with company matching contributions to help secure your financial future.
