About the Role

TMEIC Corporation Americas is seeking a highly strategic and technically proficient Product Manager for Solar Inverters to lead our product line evolution in the rapidly expanding renewable energy market. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for defining and executing product strategies over 1-2 year rolling timeframes, ensuring our portfolio aligns with long-term mid-range plans and remains at the cutting edge of power conversion technology. As the bridge between market needs and engineering excellence, you will manage the entire product lifecycle—from initial idea generation and business case development to successful global product launches.

Key Responsibilities

As the Product Manager, you will act as the primary conduit for innovation within the solar business unit, translating market signals into actionable product roadmaps. Your daily activities will involve high-level strategic planning and cross-functional leadership to ensure our inverter solutions meet the rigorous demands of the utility-scale power generation industry.

  • Conduct comprehensive market assessments to identify primary potential clients, monitor competitor differentiation, and recommend competitive strategic options.
  • Develop and maintain thorough Product Requirement Documents (PRDs) that guide the development team through complex system integrations and hardware enhancements.
  • Monitor sales performance and profit margins for the assigned portfolio, providing data-driven reports to senior management to influence strategic planning.
  • Identify opportunities for integrated systems, exploring how TMEIC products can work in tandem with partner solutions to provide holistic energy management.
  • Collaborate with the Global Marketing team to create compelling sales collateral, application guides, and technical presentations that reinforce the TMEIC brand.
  • Provide expert technical consulting, coaching, and training to sales and application engineering teams to ensure market readiness.
  • Cultivate and sustain productive relationships with parent company contacts and external suppliers to facilitate timely issue resolution and resource acquisition.
  • Drive continuous improvement in power flow model quality and delivery cycles, working closely with engineering teams on system studies.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate possesses a unique blend of engineering expertise and business acumen, specifically within the photovoltaic and power conversion sectors. We are looking for a professional who can navigate both technical specifications and high-level financial business cases.

  • BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related Applied Science; an MBA is highly preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in application engineering or design specifically focused on solar inverters and photovoltaic (PV) systems.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in product management or technical sales within the utility-scale power generation market.
  • Proven track record of developing long-term product roadmaps and building successful business cases for new market entries.
  • Exceptional communication skills, including the ability to create visually engaging graphics and deliver persuasive presentations to stakeholders.
  • Technical familiarity with power flow models such as PSSE, PSLF, PSCAD, or ASPEN is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with transformers used in power conversion and behind-the-meter energy management systems is a significant advantage.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% domestically and internationally to engage with clients, attend trade shows, and visit manufacturing sites.
Benefits

TMEIC Corporation Americas offers a competitive compensation package designed to attract top-tier talent in the renewable energy industry. Our commitment to our employees is reflected in our robust benefit offerings and our dedication to professional growth.

  • Highly competitive salary range of $145,900 - $218,900 based on experience and qualifications.
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance plans.
  • Generous retirement savings plans with company matching.
  • Paid time off and holiday pay to support work-life balance.
  • A collaborative and inclusive work environment rooted in our core values of Integrity, Client Focus, and Team Orientation.
  • Opportunities for international exposure and professional development within a global leader in industrial automation and power electronics.
