  • Calculate and process statutory deductions, including PAYE, National Insurance, Statutory Sick Pay (SSP), Statutory Maternity Pay (SMP), and student loan repayments.
  • Facilitate the submission of Real Time Information (RTI) to HMRC, including Full Payment Submissions (FPS) and Employer Payment Summaries (EPS).
  • Administer workplace pension schemes, ensuring correct auto-enrollment procedures and timely contribution uploads to providers.
  • Process year-end requirements, including the generation and distribution of P60s and P11D benefits-in-kind reporting.
  • Conduct regular audits and reconciliations of payroll data to identify and resolve discrepancies prior to final distribution.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for UK payroll legislation, providing guidance to internal stakeholders and responding to complex employee queries.
  • Liaise directly with HMRC and other third-party agencies to resolve compliance issues or reporting queries.
  • Maintain high levels of data security and confidentiality in accordance with GDPR and company policies.

Qualifications
  • A minimum of 3 to 8 years of hands-on experience specifically dedicated to UK Payroll processing.
  • In-depth knowledge of UK tax codes, statutory legislation, and payroll compliance frameworks.
  • Proven experience working with HMRC reporting requirements and RTI submissions.
  • Strong proficiency in payroll software systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables).
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex payroll concepts to non-finance stakeholders clearly.
  • High level of analytical thinking and a meticulous eye for detail to ensure zero-error processing.
  • Ability to work effectively in a remote setting while meeting strict monthly and weekly deadlines.
  • Relevant certifications such as CIPP (Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals) are highly desirable but not mandatory.

Benefits
  • Competitive compensation package aligned with industry standards and expertise level.
  • Flexible remote work arrangements providing a healthy work-life balance.
  • Access to ADP’s world-class training programs and professional development resources.
  • Comprehensive health insurance and wellness benefits for employees and their families.
