About the Role
We are seeking a highly autonomous and systems-oriented Operations Manager to serve as the operational backbone of a fast-scaling, creator-led global health and wellness brand. Operating at the intersection of science, education, and commerce, our client has built a massive international following and a thriving Shopify-based product business across the US, EU, UK, and Australia. This role is designed for a proactive leader who thrives in lean, remote environments and possesses the unique ability to build scalable systems where little structure currently exists. As the brand continues its rapid global expansion, you will play a critical role in ensuring that products move efficiently from manufacturers to warehouses and directly into the hands of customers worldwide.
In this position, you will work directly with visionary leadership to prevent operational bottlenecks, eliminate stockouts, and streamline global fulfillment workflows. Your success will be measured by your ability to create operational stability, optimize logistics costs, and manage a complex network of international 3PL partners and suppliers. This is not just a maintenance role; it is an opportunity to architect the supply chain of a modern, high-growth startup. You will be expected to balance high-level strategy with hands-on execution, ensuring that every product launch is executed flawlessly and every customer order is fulfilled with precision. If you are a detail-oriented problem solver with a deep background in DTC e-commerce, this role offers the chance to make a significant impact on a global scale.
Key ResponsibilitiesAs the primary owner of the operational ecosystem, your responsibilities will be divided across several critical domains of the business:
- Logistics & 3PL Strategic Management: You will lead the day-to-day relationships with global 3PL providers across US, EU, UK, and Australian markets. This includes conducting recurring operational syncs, monitoring SLA performance, resolving fulfillment exceptions, and managing Warehouse Receiving Orders (WROs) to ensure inbound inventory flows smoothly.
- Advanced Inventory & Demand Forecasting: You will build and maintain sophisticated demand forecasting models across all SKUs and variants. Your role involves tracking expiration dates, managing lot numbers for FIFO compliance, and rebalancing stock across multiple global warehouses to proactively prevent stockouts or inventory waste.
- Supplier & Vendor Coordination: Serve as the lead point of contact for global manufacturers and vendors. You will coordinate production schedules to align with marketing launch timelines, negotiate lead times and MOQs, and source new suppliers as the product line expands into new categories.
- Product Launch & Campaign Execution: You will own the operational roadmap for all new product launches, from the initial Purchase Order to the final go-live on Shopify. This involves coordinating across marketing, creative, and logistics teams to ensure inventory readiness and conducting rigorous test orders to maintain quality standards.
- Shopify & Financial Operations: Manage the back-end of the Shopify Plus environment, including kitting, bundling rules, and bulk product updates. You will also oversee invoicing workflows, ensuring vendor payments are tracked and reconciled with the finance team while utilizing AI tools and Shopify Flows to automate repetitive tasks.
To succeed in this role, you must demonstrate a high level of ownership and a proven track record in the DTC e-commerce space:
- Relevant Experience: You possess 3 to 6+ years of experience in e-commerce operations, supply chain management, or DTC logistics, specifically within a Shopify-centric environment.
- Operational Expertise: You have direct experience managing global 3PL providers and navigating the complexities of multi-warehouse fulfillment and international shipping.
- Analytical Prowess: Advanced proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets is required, with the ability to build data-driven forecasting models and inventory reporting dashboards.
- Startup Mentality: You are comfortable working in fast-paced, ambiguous environments where you are expected to work independently and create your own systems and documentation.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with Shopify Plus and Notion is essential. Experience with 3PL platforms like ShipBob or Hive, and familiarity with AI workflow tools like Claude, is highly preferred.
- Communication: You possess exceptional written and verbal English communication skills, allowing you to manage diverse vendors and collaborate effectively with a remote global team.
