Cater Care is excited to announce new opportunities for motivated professionals to join our team as Utility Allrounders for an upcoming site opening. This Fly-In, Fly-Out (FIFO) role, departing from Adelaide, offers a unique opportunity to transition into the facilities services industry or further your career within a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Working as a Utility Allrounder is more than just a job; it is a pathway to professional growth. You will be an integral part of a supportive team, ensuring that residents on-site enjoy a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment. This role is ideal for individuals who thrive on variety and are looking for a stable career path with a leading Australian service provider. The initial roster will be 14 days on, 14 days off, reverting to a 14/7 roster after the first four months of employment.
Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Utility Allrounder, your day-to-day activities will span multiple departments, requiring a flexible approach and a commitment to operational efficiency. Your primary duties will include:
- Maintaining the cleanliness of dining areas, including setting up tables, clearing dishes, and replenishing condiments and cutlery.
- Operating industrial dishwashing equipment and ensuring all kitchen utensils and food preparation areas meet strict hygiene standards.
- Adhering to all legislated food safety and OH&S regulations to ensure a safe working and dining environment.
- Providing friendly and professional customer service to site residents during high-volume meal periods.
- Managing inventory and stock levels within the dining room and ensuring crib food stations are consistently supplied.
- Performing comprehensive housekeeping duties, including cleaning guest rooms, making beds, and sanitizing ensuites to hotel standards.
- Executing general cleaning tasks such as waste management, sweeping, and mopping communal areas and transit hubs.
- Maintaining mine site facilities, including the cleaning and sanitation of site offices, crib huts, and bathhouses.
To be successful in this role, you should possess a strong work ethic and the ability to work independently or as part of a large team. The ideal candidate will meet the following criteria:
- Minimum of 12 months experience in a similar role such as Utility, Kitchen Hand, Housekeeper, or Commercial Cleaner.
- A genuine commitment to high-quality customer service with a positive, 'can-do' attitude.
- The physical fitness and stamina required to work long shifts in a remote environment.
- Excellent attention to detail regarding personal hygiene and grooming standards.
- A valid Australian Driver’s License (Manual or Automatic).
- Current Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency status.
- A Forklift License is highly regarded but not essential.
- Willingness to undergo a pre-employment medical assessment and provide a clean National Police Clearance.
