As a Developer Advocate, you will act as the vital link between JetBrains and the global .NET community, representing the voice of the developer within our organization while showcasing the power of our industry-leading tools like Rider and ReSharper. In this role, you will leverage your deep expertise in the .NET ecosystem to empower developers worldwide. Whether you are deep-diving into enterprise backend architecture, exploring the latest in Blazor, or optimizing Entity Framework queries, your goal is to share knowledge and help others solve complex problems. This is a remote-friendly position that requires a unique blend of high-level software engineering skills and a natural talent for storytelling and communication.
Key Responsibilities- Produce high-quality technical content, including insightful blog posts, video tutorials, and comprehensive documentation that highlights modern .NET development practices and JetBrains tooling.
- Engage actively with the .NET community through social media, forums, and developer communities to understand user needs and provide expert guidance.
- Represent JetBrains as a speaker at international conferences, local meetups, and webinars, delivering compelling technical presentations that resonate with professional developers.
- Collaborate closely with internal product development teams to provide user feedback, influence product roadmaps, and ensure our tools continue to meet the evolving needs of the .NET ecosystem.
- Develop and maintain open-source demonstration projects and code samples that illustrate best practices in C#, ASP.NET Core, and modern software architecture.
- Stay at the forefront of the .NET landscape, experimenting with early-access technologies and sharing your findings with both the community and internal stakeholders.
- Extensive professional experience in software development with a primary focus on the .NET ecosystem, including C#, ASP.NET, and Entity Framework.
- Practical knowledge of modern web development, particularly with frontend technologies like Blazor and their integration with enterprise backends.
- A proven track record of technical communication, such as writing technical articles, hosting screencasts, or contributing to open-source projects.
- Strong understanding of software development best practices, including advanced debugging, unit testing, and performance optimization.
- Exceptional public speaking skills and the ability to explain complex technical concepts to audiences with varying levels of expertise.
- Excellent command of the English language, both written and spoken, with the ability to produce polished content for a global audience.
