Angel City VA Recruitment is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented female Medical Scribe to join our growing remote team. In this pivotal role, you will act as a direct assistant to healthcare providers, handling the real-time documentation of patient encounters and ensuring that clinical records are accurate, thorough, and compliant. Key Responsibilities
  • Accurately document patient visits and clinical encounters in real-time within the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
  • Transcribe medical histories, physical examinations, diagnoses, and treatment plans as dictated or observed during consultations.
  • Assist healthcare providers in navigating patient charts, locating lab results, and managing administrative tasks to improve workflow efficiency.
  • Ensure all clinical documentation meets legal and regulatory standards, maintaining strict patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance at all times.
  • Review and proofread medical records to ensure technical accuracy and consistency in terminology.
  • Communicate effectively with medical staff to clarify information and ensure the completion of all required documentation before the end of each shift.
  • Coordinate follow-up appointments, specialist referrals, and prescription orders as directed by the physician.

Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a Medical Scribe, Medical Assistant, or in a similar clinical documentation role.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and pharmacology.
  • Exceptional typing speed and accuracy, with the ability to keep pace with fast-moving clinical environments.
  • Proficiency in using various Electronic Health Record (EHR) platforms and standard office software.
  • Strong command of the English language, including excellent grammar, spelling, and professional communication skills.
  • High level of reliability, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
  • A stable high-speed internet connection and a quiet, professional workspace suitable for handling sensitive medical information.
  • Educational background in healthcare, nursing, or pre-medical studies is highly preferred.
