This is a contingent role dependent on contract award, offering a long-term pathway to support federal healthcare initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate end-to-end patient scheduling and appointment management to facilitate timely access to outpatient medical services for Veterans.
  • Track, review, and quickly respond to electronic consults, provider orders, and related administrative tasks directly within the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
  • Support critical clinical workflows, patient access operations, and appointment coordination across multiple medical specialties and departments.
  • Communicate professionally and empathetically with Veterans, clinical providers, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to provide scheduling updates and coordinate care.
  • Maintain clean, accurate, and completely updated electronic medical records and documentation to ensure seamless clinic operations and continuous care.
  • Uphold the highest standards of patient privacy, strictly following established healthcare security regulations, HIPAA guidelines, and administrative policies.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
  • Minimum of 6 months of professional customer service experience.
  • Basic working knowledge of medical terminology is required.
  • Proven keyboarding proficiency with the ability to type at least 50 words per minute (WPM).
  • U.S. Citizenship is strictly required.
  • Ability to successfully obtain and maintain a VA Public Trust Security Clearance.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Preferred: Prior experience in medical scheduling, patient access, clinical administrative support, or working with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems.
  • Preferred: Experience working within multidisciplinary healthcare settings, or supporting Veterans and government healthcare organizations.
