Key Responsibilities

  • Verify patient insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations prior to scheduled visits.
  • Update and maintain electronic health records (EHR) with accurate patient demographics and encounter details.
  • Communicate preparation instructions to patients for specific procedures or diagnostic tests.
  • Collaborate with clinical staff to manage emergency bookings and schedule adjustments.
  • Identify and resolve scheduling conflicts or double-bookings to maintain a smooth clinic flow.
  • Follow up with patients regarding missed appointments and facilitate rescheduling to ensure continuity of care.

Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical scheduling, healthcare administration, or a high-volume patient services role.
  • Strong proficiency in Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and standard office software suites.
  • In-depth knowledge of medical terminology and various healthcare insurance providers.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Proven ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced, remote work environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; an Associate’s degree in Healthcare Administration or a related field is preferred.
