About the Role

Valatam is a premier talent solutions company dedicated to bridging the gap between high-caliber bilingual professionals in Latin America and innovative businesses across the globe. We are currently seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Logistics & Operations Assistant to join our growing team. In this pivotal role, you will serve as the backbone of our operational efficiency, ensuring that supply chain processes, vendor communications, and internal workflows run seamlessly. If you are a natural problem-solver with a passion for logistics and a desire to work in a fast-paced international environment, we invite you to explore this opportunity. This position is designed for an individual who thrives on organization and is eager to contribute to the success of diverse global projects while enjoying the flexibility and balance of a fully remote professional career.

As our Logistics & Operations Assistant, your daily efforts will directly impact the satisfaction of our clients and the scalability of our internal systems. You will be expected to handle a variety of tasks ranging from technical data entry to high-level coordination with international shipping partners. We value clear communication, transparency, and a commitment to continuous improvement. At Valatam, we do not just fill positions; we build lasting professional relationships that empower our talent to excel on the world stage. We provide the tools and the platform, but your dedication to excellence in logistics and operations will be the primary driver of your success within our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and oversee end-to-end logistics operations, including shipping schedules, real-time tracking, and delivery confirmation for international orders.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for third-party vendors, suppliers, and freight forwarders to negotiate terms and ensure timely service delivery.
  • Maintain and update comprehensive inventory records within our internal CRM and ERP systems, ensuring data integrity at all times.
  • Identify and implement improvements in operational workflows to reduce lead times, minimize costs, and enhance overall service quality.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to resolve logistical bottlenecks and provide prompt, professional responses to client inquiries.
  • Prepare detailed weekly and monthly reports on operational performance, tracking key performance indicators such as shipping accuracy and vendor reliability.
  • Monitor and ensure strict compliance with international shipping regulations, customs documentation, and regional safety requirements.
  • Support the administrative team with ad-hoc operational tasks and project management duties as the company continues to scale globally.

Qualifications
  • Full professional fluency in both English and Spanish, including exceptional written and verbal communication skills in both languages.
  • Proven experience in a logistics, supply chain, or administrative operations role, ideally within a remote or international business environment.
  • Strong proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced skills in Excel for data analysis and reporting purposes.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based project management tools (such as Trello, Asana, or Monday.com) and standard ERP or CRM software.
  • Superior organizational and time-management abilities, with a demonstrated knack for prioritizing multiple tasks in a high-pressure setting.
  • An analytical mindset with a sharp focus on detail and accuracy when handling complex shipping documentation and financial data.
  • The ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high levels of productivity and accountability.
  • Residency in Latin America with a stable high-speed internet connection and a professional, dedicated home office environment.

Benefits
  • Competitive monthly compensation package paid in USD, offering financial stability and protection against local currency fluctuations.
  • A 100% remote work arrangement, providing the freedom to work from any location within Latin America.
  • Extensive opportunities for career advancement and professional development within a rapidly expanding global organization.
  • A highly collaborative and inclusive company culture that celebrates diversity and recognizes individual contributions and milestones.
  • Direct exposure to international business standards and the chance to work with industry-leading clients across various sectors.
  • Standardized working hours that promote a healthy work-life balance while remaining synchronized with global business cycles.
