About the Role

The Lite Controller is the financial backbone of our multi-property portfolio. Functioning as a strategic finance partner, you will produce accurate reporting while teaching property leaders how to interpret financials, identify waste, and make better business decisions. You will oversee one Junior Accountant and work closely with General Managers and the CFO.

Top Responsibilities
  • Financial Reporting Excellence: Deliver detailed P&L statements for all units by the 15th of each month and consolidate data for company-wide reporting.
  • GM Financial Partnership: Serve as the primary financial resource for General Managers, helping them identify operational waste and take ownership of property performance.
  • Zero-Based Budget Mindset: Lead budgeting and forecasting by evaluating every expenditure for relevance and providing clear ROI analysis.
  • Full-Cycle Accounting Oversight: Manage AP/AR, payroll, cash flow, and internal controls while developing the Junior Accountant.
  • Compliance & Audit Readiness: Maintain internal controls, ensure tax compliance, and coordinate with external CPA partners for filings.
  • Asset Management Support: Assist the CFO with insurance negotiations, property tax strategy, and lender relationship oversight.
Minimum Qualifications
  • 3–5 years of full-cycle accounting experience, including building balance sheets and cash flow statements from scratch.
  • Experience in hospitality or multi-property environments is strongly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP accounting principles.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate financial concepts to non-finance leaders.
  • High emotional intelligence and the ability to operate independently in a remote environment.
