Leakage Inspector

About the Role

Williams Tucker Limited is currently seeking proactive and meticulous Leakage Inspectors to join our expansive operations across various UK and international locations. As a critical member of our infrastructure team, you will be responsible for identifying, locating, and reporting leaks within complex water distribution networks. This role is essential in minimizing water waste, ensuring environmental sustainability, and optimizing network efficiency for our global client base. Whether you are working locally or on an international assignment, you will utilize state-of-the-art acoustic technology and data analysis tools to protect vital water resources.

• Perform detailed surveys of water distribution systems to detect hidden leaks using advanced acoustic logging and correlation equipment.
• Analyze flow data and pressure readings to identify anomalies within specific District Metered Areas (DMAs).
• Accurately pinpoint leak locations to minimize excavation costs and ensure rapid repair turnaround times.
• Maintain comprehensive digital records of survey results, equipment findings, and repair recommendations via mobile reporting platforms.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to provide insights on network health and suggest proactive maintenance strategies.
• Adhere strictly to health and safety protocols while working in various environments, including urban centers and remote international sites.
• Provide exceptional representation of Williams Tucker Limited when interacting with clients, local authorities, and the public.

• Proven experience as a Leakage Technician or Inspector within the water utility or civil engineering sector.
• Proficiency in using leak detection equipment, including ground microphones, correlators, and data loggers.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret technical data and topographical maps.
• A valid UK driving license and the flexibility to travel extensively, including potential long-term international assignments.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• A commitment to environmental conservation and a high level of technical problem-solving capability.
• Relevant industry certifications (such as EUSR Water Hygiene) are highly desirable.
