As the Lead AI Engineer, you will sit at the intersection of innovation and execution. You will be tasked with transforming complex business requirements into scalable, robust, and secure AI architectures. Key Responsibilities- System Architecture: Design and document end-to-end technical architectures for complex AI systems, including multi-agent workflows, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines, and autonomous automation frameworks.
- Hands-on Development: Act as the primary builder, writing clean, production-ready code to implement core AI functionalities, fine-tune models, and develop sophisticated API integrations.
- Standard Setting: Establish and enforce the technical bar for the entire engineering organization, defining best practices for AI model selection, prompt engineering, data privacy, and system performance.
- Technical Leadership: Provide expert guidance to cross-functional teams, ensuring that all AI solutions align with client needs and are built for long-term scalability and maintainability.
- Client Engagement: Collaborate with stakeholders at Tier 1 companies to understand their operational challenges and architect AI-driven solutions that provide significant ROI.
- Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize AI systems to ensure low latency, high accuracy, and cost-effective utilization of large language models (LLMs) and cloud resources.
- Technical Expertise: At least 8 years of professional software engineering experience, with a minimum of 3 years focused specifically on AI/ML and generative AI technologies.
- Advanced Programming: Expert-level proficiency in Python and deep experience with frameworks such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, or Haystack.
- Architectural Depth: Proven track record of designing and deploying distributed systems and microservices architectures within cloud environments like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- AI Mastery: Extensive knowledge of LLMs (GPT-4, Claude, Llama), vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, Milvus), and the latest advancements in agentic workflows.
- Leadership Experience: Previous experience in a lead or architect role where you were responsible for making critical technology decisions and mentoring junior to mid-level engineers.
- Communication Skills: Ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and translate business needs into technical specifications.
- Education: A Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related technical field is preferred.
