About the Role

Welo Data, a premier brand of Welo Global, is at the forefront of the artificial intelligence revolution, providing high-fidelity multilingual data and evaluation systems for the world’s leading GenAI foundation labs. As a Language Quality Manager, you will be a vital link in this global ecosystem, ensuring that localized content for our key enterprise clients adheres to the most rigorous linguistic and cultural standards. This is a remote, long-term engagement where you will operate at the intersection of human judgment and machine learning, helping AI models achieve seamless reliability across over 300 languages and diverse global contexts.

In this role, you will act as a dedicated quality partner within a specialized client-aligned model. You will be responsible for overseeing the linguistic integrity of varied content types, from marketing communications to complex technical SaaS documentation. We are looking for an autonomous professional who thrives in fast-paced, high-stakes environments and can bridge the gap between technical requirements and linguistic excellence. You will collaborate with a network of experts to deliver the human judgment necessary for the next generation of robotics, voice systems, and agentic workflows.

Key Responsibilities
  • Take full ownership of the linguistic quality, tone, and cultural appropriateness of all localized deliverables for assigned key client accounts.
  • Serve as a strategic client-facing partner, ensuring all localized outputs align perfectly with the client’s brand identity, voice guidelines, and product expectations.
  • Define, develop, and meticulously maintain critical linguistic assets, including comprehensive glossaries, style guides, and terminology databases aligned with client standards.
  • Execute rigorous Localization Quality Assurance (LQA) workflows, including functional testing, linguistic issue logging, triage, and final resolution.
  • Utilize Smartling and Jira to track critical quality issues and provide detailed, data-driven status updates to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Review and refine translated content across a spectrum of assets, including product interfaces, marketing campaigns, sales collateral, and corporate communications.
  • Consolidate and deliver constructive linguistic feedback to global translators and vendors, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and calibration.
  • Support high-priority, ad hoc translation and review requests to meet urgent product launch timelines or market shifts.
  • Monitor and report on quality performance during and after live product launches to ensure real-world success and cultural grounding.

Qualifications
  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Linguistics, Translation, or a related academic discipline.
  • A minimum of 4 years of professional experience in translation, editing, or linguistic quality management, ideally within the technology sector.
  • Direct experience with Smartling or similar enterprise-grade Translation Management Systems (TMS).
  • Hands-on experience with Jira or comparable bug-tracking and project management software.
  • Familiarity with the nuances of SaaS products, platforms, and the broader technology landscape.
  • Strong understanding of Agile frameworks and the modern software development lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex linguistic concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Fluency in additional languages is highly desirable and considered a significant advantage.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and an unwavering commitment to quality and data integrity.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple high-priority projects independently in a remote environment.

Benefits
  • Remote-first work environment, offering flexibility and the ability to work from anywhere globally.
  • The opportunity to work at the cutting edge of GenAI, robotics, and multilingual data science.
  • Collaborative culture within a global team of over 500,000 vetted experts and specialized program leads.
  • Exposure to world-class enterprise clients and sophisticated localization technologies like NIMO™.
  • Career growth opportunities within a fast-expanding global organization leading the AI evaluation space.
  • Engagement in professional development regarding localized rubrics and continuous calibration systems.
