Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-energy online ELA classes focusing on foundational Reading, Speaking, and Writing skills for elementary students.
  • Prepare and facilitate well-structured lessons utilizing Think Academy’s proprietary curriculum resources and pedagogical frameworks.
  • Manage a virtual classroom environment of approximately 10 students, ensuring high levels of engagement and participation.
  • Provide comprehensive evaluation of student work, including grading and delivering timely, actionable feedback to foster literacy development.
  • Maintain professional and proactive communication with parents and students regarding learning objectives, progress, and performance milestones.
  • Collaborate with the academic team by participating in regular teacher training, curriculum refinement discussions, and professional development workshops.
  • Track student progress diligently to ensure learning outcomes are met throughout the semester.
Qualifications
  • Native-level proficiency in American English with an excellent command of grammar and pronunciation.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution is required; specialization in Education, ELA, or English is highly preferred.
  • Proven experience teaching ELA within U.S. public, private, or charter schools, with a specific focus on 1st through 4th-grade levels.
  • Deep understanding of elementary reading instruction, literacy development stages, and supportive writing techniques.
  • Technical proficiency with online teaching platforms and the ability to manage virtual classroom technology effectively.
  • A student-centered instructional approach with the ability to inspire and motivate young learners in a digital setting.
  • Availability to commit to at least one full academic semester (Spring, Summer, or Fall).
