Key Responsibilities

The Junior Human Resources Assistant will manage tasks focused on streamlining HR processes and enhancing the employee experience:

  • Assisting with full-cycle recruitment by posting job advertisements, coordinating interviews, and managing candidate communication through our Applicant Tracking System.
  • Facilitating the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring all documentation is completed and providing a warm introduction to company culture.
  • Maintaining accurate employee records in our HRIS, ensuring data integrity and compliance with employment laws.
  • Serving as a first point of contact for employee inquiries regarding policies, benefits, and general HR procedures.
  • Supporting the HR Manager in preparing internal communications and employee engagement initiatives to strengthen our remote community.
  • Assisting in the coordination of performance review cycles and tracking professional development goals.
  • Conducting research on HR best practices to help improve internal workflows and retention strategies.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you should be a self-starter who thrives in a virtual environment and possesses these qualifications:

  • A Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Previous internship experience or up to two years in an administrative role is preferred.
  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Strong organizational skills with a proven ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced setting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and comfort learning new software like HRIS, ATS, Slack, and Zoom.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and a collaborative mindset.
  • Reliable internet access and a suitable home office setup for effective remote work.
