- Perform high-quality interviews with industry experts, community leaders, and individuals with unique lived experiences to gather exclusive insights.
- Write, edit, and proofread long-form articles, news briefs, and feature stories optimized for digital publication.
- Apply SEO best practices to all written content to maximize reach and organic engagement across search engines and social platforms.
- Collaborate with the multimedia and design teams to integrate visual elements, such as photographs and infographics, into written narratives.
- Maintain an organized editorial calendar and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced, remote work environment.
- Stay up-to-date with current events, industry trends, and emerging journalistic techniques to keep our content fresh and competitive.
- Verify facts and cross-reference data points to maintain the highest level of trust with our audience.
- A Bachelors degree in Journalism, Communications, English, or a related field is highly preferred.
- Proven experience as a Journalist, Staff Writer, or Reporter, ideally within a digital-first media environment or newsroom.
