IoT Specialist

About the Role

Jasper Solutions Inc. is looking for a forward-thinking IoT Specialist to join our elite technology team. In this role, you will be at the forefront of digital transformation, bridging the gap between physical hardware and cloud-based intelligence to help our diverse base of federal, state, and commercial clients achieve their mission objectives. As an IoT Specialist, you will leverage our extensive portfolio of cloud orchestration, network management, and cybersecurity services to build resilient, scalable, and secure connected environments.

• Design and deploy end-to-end IoT solutions integrating sensors, gateways, and cloud platforms using Jasper’s proprietary cloud orchestration frameworks.
• Collaborate with the infrastructure management team to ensure high performance and low latency for distributed IoT networks.
• Implement robust security protocols and continuous monitoring in alignment with our Risk Management and Compliance standards to protect sensitive data at the edge.
• Manage the lifecycle of IoT devices, including configuration management, firmware updates, and remote troubleshooting.
• Work alongside DevOps and Big Data teams to architect data pipelines that transform raw sensor data into actionable business intelligence and advanced analytics.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation for system architecture, network topologies, and security governance policies.
• Partner with stakeholders to identify opportunities for automation and high-performance computing within existing enterprise services.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
• Proven experience in IoT system integration, including familiarity with protocols such as MQTT, CoAP, HTTP, and LoRaWAN.
• Strong background in Cloud Application Management and experience with Public, Private, and Hybrid cloud environments.
• Hands-on experience with configuration management tools and network infrastructure management.
• Deep understanding of cybersecurity principles, including identity and access management (IAM) and data encryption for IoT devices.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment while maintaining high levels of productivity and collaboration through Agile delivery methods.
• Excellent analytical skills and the ability to solve complex technical problems in high-pressure environments.
• Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Alexa Skill Builder, Azure IoT Developer Specialist, or Cisco IoT Specialization are highly preferred.
