About the Role

The Kashmir Monitor is currently expanding its logistical workforce and invites applications from reliable, professional, and experienced individuals for the position of Staff Car Driver. As part of our commitment to excellence and efficiency within Jammu and Kashmir’s evolving economic landscape, we are looking for 17 dedicated drivers to facilitate the smooth transport of personnel and equipment. This recruitment drive aligns with the region's broader vision of enhancing infrastructure and operational capabilities to support local growth and professional service delivery.

• Operate company vehicles safely and efficiently to transport staff and authorized personnel to designated locations across Srinagar and surrounding regions.
• Maintain a comprehensive daily log of journeys, including mileage, fuel consumption, and arrival/departure times.
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections and perform basic maintenance checks such as monitoring oil levels, tire pressure, and coolant.
• Ensure the vehicle is kept clean, sanitized, and in optimal mechanical condition at all times.
• Adhere strictly to all regional traffic laws, safety regulations, and company transportation policies to ensure the safety of passengers.
• Assist with the loading and unloading of official documents or equipment as required during transit.
• Report any mechanical malfunctions, accidents, or traffic violations immediately to the transport supervisor.

• A valid driving license for Light Motor Vehicles (LMV) or relevant commercial driving permit.
• A minimum of 2-3 years of professional driving experience, preferably within a corporate or government environment.
• Basic literacy and the ability to maintain written logs and read navigational maps.
• In-depth knowledge of local routes in Srinagar and the broader Jammu and Kashmir geography.
• A clean driving record with no history of major traffic violations or criminal offenses.
• Physical fitness and the ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings or late evenings when required.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to providing professional, punctual service.
