About the Role

Aisle and Abroad is currently seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented HR Assistant to join our expanding team in a fully remote capacity. This position serves as a cornerstone for our Human Resources department, offering a unique opportunity for an organized individual to launch a meaningful career in HR administration. As an HR Assistant, you will act as a primary support system for our recruitment and onboarding functions, ensuring that the administrative backbone of our organization remains strong, compliant, and efficient. We are looking for a candidate who is passionate about people operations and possesses an unwavering commitment to maintaining the highest levels of accuracy and confidentiality in a digital workspace.

In this role, you will be the first point of contact for many prospective employees, helping to facilitate a seamless transition from candidate to team member. You will work closely with the broader HR team to manage documentation, maintain vital records, and support the logistical aspects of hiring and employee lifecycle management. Because this position involves direct access to sensitive employee personal and financial data, we require a professional who is not only technically proficient but also deeply principled. This is an entry-level position where we prioritize potential and personality over prior HR experience, as we provide a comprehensive training program to set you up for long-term success.

Key Responsibilities

As an HR Assistant, your primary objective is to streamline the administrative processes that keep our workforce moving forward. Your day-to-day duties will include:

  • Managing the publication of job listings across various online platforms and monitoring applicant flow.
  • Performing initial resume screenings to identify top-tier talent that aligns with our organizational values and job requirements.
  • Scheduling interviews and coordinating calendars between hiring managers and candidates to ensure a smooth recruitment process.
  • Maintaining comprehensive and confidential employee records within our internal HR system, ensuring all data is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Supporting the onboarding journey for new hires by collecting necessary documentation and facilitating their introduction to company systems.
  • Preparing and processing essential HR paperwork, including offer letters, employment contracts, and updated policy acknowledgments.
  • Responding to general employee inquiries regarding company policies, time-off requests, and benefit programs with professionalism and clarity.

Qualifications

We are looking for candidates who are eager to learn and demonstrate a high level of professional maturity. The following qualifications are required for the role:

  • A High School Diploma is required; however, an Associates or Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field is preferred.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple administrative tasks simultaneously without compromising quality.
  • A high degree of discretion and a demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with the utmost integrity.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact professionally with candidates and internal stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) or Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) is considered a significant advantage.
  • Must be willing to undergo and pass a comprehensive pre-employment background check and credit screening.
  • Full authorization to work within the United States is mandatory.

Benefits

Working with Aisle and Abroad offers a range of professional and personal advantages designed to support your growth:

  • Competitive annual salary ranging from $38,000 to $50,000, based on skills and alignment.
  • The flexibility of a 100% remote work environment, allowing you to work from anywhere in the United States.
  • A robust training and development program designed to teach you the fundamentals of HR even if you have no prior experience.
  • Opportunities for professional growth and career advancement within a supportive and forward-thinking company.
  • A collaborative team culture that values transparency, inclusion, and the use of modern technology to enhance the employee experience.

Please note that Aisle and Abroad may utilize artificial intelligence (AI) tools during various stages of the recruitment process to assist in resume analysis and application review. These tools are designed to support our human recruitment team in identifying the best candidates but do not replace the human element of our hiring decisions. We remain committed to a fair and human-centric hiring process. If you have questions about how your data is processed, please reach out to us during the application process.
