About the Role

DoorDash is seeking a visionary and results-oriented Head of Banking Operations to spearhead the operational strategy for Crimson, our pioneering fintech initiative designed to empower millions of Dashers. As a pivotal leader within the Dasher Financial team, you will be instrumental in building the world�s leading last-mile logistics financial platform. We are not just moving money; we are disrupting the traditional financial ecosystem by creating a comprehensive system of record that provides gig workers with instant access to earnings, innovative bill pay solutions, and sophisticated credit-building tools. This role is a unique 'player-coach' opportunity where you will set the long-term vision with senior leadership while remaining deeply connected to the operational details that drive user success and platform reliability. In this capacity, you will take full ownership of the banking operational roadmap, ensuring that every transaction and interaction strengthens the financial health of our community. Key Responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end bank partner relationship portfolio, serving as the primary point of contact for existing partners and evaluating potential new institutions as DoorDash expands into new products and global geographies.
• Lead complex negotiations regarding commercial terms, operational Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and technical integration roadmaps to ensure alignment with our growth objectives.
• Own the full P&L for the Crimson product line, identifying opportunities for revenue growth, cost optimization, and improved unit economics across the banking stack.
• Oversee large-scale money movement operations, ensuring the health, speed, and security of ACH, OCT, AFT, and cash rails while driving down cost-per-transaction and maximizing reliability.
• Develop and refine operational frameworks for user outcomes, including the management of disputes, account suspensions, and customer support escalations to deepen user engagement and trust.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Legal, and Compliance teams to build scalable infrastructure that supports product expansion and regulatory requirements.
• Drive the operational roadmap to increase user deposits and spending by improving the overall financial experience for the Dasher community.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10+ years of experience in banking operations, fintech, or payment processing, with a proven track record of managing complex financial partnerships.
• Deep technical expertise in payment rails including ACH, OCT, AFT, and real-time payment systems.
• Extensive experience in P&L management and a strong understanding of the commercial drivers within the fintech and banking sectors.
• Proven ability to operate as a 'player-coach,' with the strategic mindset to lead a function and the tactical ability to dive into granular operational data.
• Excellent negotiation skills with experience navigating high-stakes commercial and legal agreements with major financial institutions.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to use data to drive operational improvements and financial outcomes.
• Prior experience in a high-growth technology environment or a 'zero-to-one' product launch setting is highly preferred.
• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to influence senior executives and external partners alike.
