No two days are ever the same in this role; you will enjoy a high degree of variety, ranging from conducting critical preventative checks to tackling unexpected maintenance issues with speed and efficiency. You will be part of a tight-knit team united by a common goal: delivering exceptional guest experiences and fostering an outstanding workplace culture where every contribution is valued and recognized. Our people are the heart of our success, and we are committed to investing in your technical skills to support your long-term career growth and advancement within the hospitality industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform a wide range of general repairs and maintenance tasks across guest accommodations, public facilities, and resort grounds to ensure peak operational efficiency and guest comfort.

  • Proactively identify potential safety hazards or areas requiring aesthetic improvement, taking immediate action to rectify issues before they impact the guest experience.
  • Collaborate closely with the housekeeping and front office teams to prioritize urgent repairs and ensure a seamless, high-quality experience for every visitor.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated proficiency in painting and minor decorating tasks is highly preferred to help maintain the resort's premium aesthetic and brand standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently, managing your own workflow effectively throughout the day without constant supervision.
  • Strong time management and organizational abilities, with the capacity to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced, dynamic hospitality environment.
  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills, allowing you to interact professionally with colleagues, contractors, and guests from diverse backgrounds.
  • A genuine commitment to high service standards and a keen eye for detail in every repair or maintenance task you undertake.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and public holidays, to ensure the resort remains operational and well-maintained at all times.

Benefits
  • Competitive hourly rates ranging from $26.70 to $40.05, with significant penalty rates for weekend work to ensure your dedication is financially rewarded.
  • Extensive career growth opportunities through tailored learning and development programs designed to boost your professional trajectory within the global Minor Hotels network.
  • Exclusive accommodation discounts, including 50% off stays at Minor Hotels across Australasia and 20% off for your friends and family members.
  • Global travel perks with international discounts across our prestigious brands, including Anantara, Avani, NH Hotels, and Tivoli, spanning six continents.
  • Access to our comprehensive retail rewards program, offering cashback and discounts at over 400 top retailers throughout Australia and New Zealand.
