Key ResponsibilitiesThe Genetic Counseling Assistant will be responsible for a wide array of tasks that support the Clinical Affairs department. Your primary objective will be to ensure that the lifecycle of a genetic testfrom order to resultis managed with the highest degree of precision and efficiency.
- Order Management: Meticulously track genetic testing orders to ensure they are moving through the laboratory and clinical pipelines efficiently, proactively identifying and resolving any delays.
- Clinical Documentation: Support the Clinical Affairs team by organizing and managing essential documentation, ensuring that provider communications are handled professionally and archived correctly.
- Workflow Optimization: Maintain and update internal databases, spreadsheets, and records to ensure that all team members have access to real-time, accurate data regarding testing statuses.
- Clinical Study Support: Play a key role in participant-facing logistics for clinical studies, including coordinating engagement efforts and implementing retention strategies to ensure study success.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as a liaison between genetic counselors and operational teams to streamline day-to-day activities and improve internal processes.
- Logistical Coordination: Assist with the administrative needs of the Clinical Affairs team, including scheduling, reporting, and specialized projects as needed.

- Educational Background: A Bachelors degree in Biology, Genetics, Healthcare Administration, or a closely related field is required.
