You will operate various types of machinery and hand tools, ensuring that each unit produced meets Danas rigorous internal quality standards and safety protocols. You will be expected to monitor equipment performance and report any deviations or maintenance needs to the supervisory team promptly to minimize downtime and maintain production schedules.
In addition to manual assembly, you will perform detailed quality inspections on finished parts, utilizing precision measuring instruments to verify dimensions and functionality. Maintaining a clean and organized workspace is essential, as we strictly adhere to 5S methodology and Lean Manufacturing principles. You will also be responsible for documenting production data, including output counts and quality logs, ensuring that all records are accurate and up to date. Collaboration is key in this role, and you will participate in regular team huddles to discuss process improvements and safety initiatives.
QualificationsTo be successful in this role, candidates should possess a high school diploma or equivalent General Education Development (GED) certificate. While prior experience in a manufacturing or production environment is preferred, we are looking for individuals with a strong mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn complex assembly processes. You must demonstrate excellent manual dexterity and the physical stamina required to perform repetitive tasks and stand for extended periods during your shift.
