About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and analytical Senior Genealogy Research Specialist to join our elite technical team. In this strategic role, you will be the cornerstone of our citizenship recognition department, conducting sophisticated historical investigations and reconstructing complex family lineages that form the foundation of our clients' global futures.

• Conduct exhaustive genealogical research using primary and secondary sources to reconstruct complex family lineages for European citizenship processes.
• Analyze and interpret a wide array of historical documents, including civil records, ecclesiastical registries, census data, and military archives.
• Develop, validate, and maintain detailed genealogical trees and comprehensive evidentiary dossiers to prove ancestry beyond legal doubt.
• Design and implement advanced research strategies for high-complexity cases where documentation may be fragmented or limited.
• Serve as a technical authority within the organization, providing mentorship to junior researchers and establishing best practices for historical investigation.
• Perform cross-referencing and data validation across international databases and physical archives to ensure the absolute integrity of genealogical findings.
• Provide consultative support to clients, explaining complex ancestral findings and legal requirements for citizenship by descent.
• Stay at the forefront of evolving European citizenship laws and archival procedures to ensure organizational compliance and strategic agility.

• Higher education in History, preferably with a Post-graduate or Master’s degree in Genealogy, Archival Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience specifically focused on genealogical research for European citizenship (Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, etc.).
• Proven expertise in navigating both national and international historical databases and physical archives.
• Advanced skills in document analysis, historical investigation, and the construction of complex family trees.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to formulate and test investigative hypotheses in the face of limited information.
• Exceptional ability to structure technical knowledge and transfer expertise to a broader team.
• Desirable: Proficiency in Paleography for reading handwritten historical manuscripts.
• Desirable: Multilingual reading skills, particularly in Italian, German, Spanish, or Latin.
