You will facilitate the receipt of materials from various sources, including direct couriers, third-party resellers, and Point of Sale (POS) locations, preparing them for transit through the DHL network. A significant portion of this role involves the safe and timely transport of these materials between the service center and the airport, ensuring that all logistics schedules are met without compromise.
- Oversee the receipt and processing of all incoming material from various network channels to ensure readiness for outbound transport.
- Manage the transportation of materials between the service center and airport facilities using professional driving skills.
- Execute the loading and off-loading of all outbound materials on international flights, ensuring every item is accounted for through precise scanning and system alerts.
- Coordinate the release of inbound and outbound materials from the customs bond area, specifically managing WPX shipments and ensuring adherence to all regulatory guidelines.
- Generate and manage critical documentation, including recovery reports, flight alerts, and manifest storage, to maintain high levels of operational visibility.
- Perform 100% security scanning of all outbound shipments using X-Ray technology and ensure all security paperwork is filed and stored according to compliance standards.
- Act as the primary point of contact for shipments involving surrounding islands, managing the commercial uplift process and coordinating with external transport partners.
- Monitor AQCC and COA/BOS reports to ensure all gateway operations meet internal quality and performance benchmarks.
To be successful in this role, candidates must possess a blend of physical stamina, technical skill, and a commitment to security standards. We are looking for individuals who can work effectively in a high-pressure environment while maintaining a focus on safety and customer service. Previous experience in a logistics or warehouse environment is highly valued.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED) is required.
- Must possess a valid Driver’s License (specifically a Truck license) with a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive police background clearance check and airport security vetting process.
- Candidates must be at least 21 years of age due to operational and safety requirements.
- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to represent the DHL brand professionally at all times.
- Strong map-reading and GPS navigation skills, with a deep knowledge of the local delivery and airport area.
- Previous professional driving experience, preferably within a delivery or high-volume logistics role.
- Must meet physical requirements, including lifting up to 70 lbs occasionally and 40 lbs frequently, alongside the ability to climb, reach, squat, and bend repeatedly throughout the shift.
