About the Role

As a Gardener, you will play a vital role in shaping the guest experience by maintaining the pristine beauty of our 593-room estate, nine world-class restaurants, and our renowned 18-hole par three golf course. Reporting to the Golf Superintendent, you will join a dynamic team of 'Heartists' dedicated to turning moments into memories through meticulous attention to detail and a passion for environmental excellence.

We are looking for a proactive professional who takes pride in horticulture and turf management to ensure our gardens and fairways exceed the expectations of our international clientele.
Key ResponsibilitiesGrounds & Golf Course Maintenance:
- Execute daily preparations for the golf course, including the precise mowing, watering, and grooming of fairways, greens, and tees to ensure optimal playability.
- Maintain the safety and accessibility of all resort pathways, driveways, and public areas through regular debris removal and upkeep.
- Monitor and adjust complex irrigation systems to ensure appropriate hydration levels for diverse flora and turf varieties.
- Apply fertilizers, pesticides, and specialized treatments in strict accordance with environmental regulations and safety standards.
Horticulture & Landscaping:
- Manage the planting, pruning, and cultivation of a wide variety of flowers, shrubs, and tropical trees across the estate.
- Maintain vibrant flower beds and landscaped areas, ensuring they remain manicured and visually striking throughout the seasons.
- Collaborate on resort beautification initiatives and special landscaping projects to enhance the property’s aesthetic appeal.
Operational Support:
- Operate and perform basic maintenance on professional-grade gardening machinery, power tools, and landscaping equipment.
- Provide logistical and landscaping support for high-profile golf tournaments and outdoor resort events.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Grounds and Maintenance teams to ensure operational efficiency and safety compliance.
- Experience: Minimum of 2+ years of professional experience in gardening, landscaping, or turf management, ideally within a luxury resort or high-end golf course environment.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of horticulture, plant physiology, and modern pest control techniques.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; specialized certifications in horticulture or landscaping are highly preferred.
- Operational Skills: Proficiency in operating heavy landscaping machinery and a solid understanding of chemical safety protocols (fertilizers/pesticides).
- Soft Skills: Exceptional time-management abilities and a detail-oriented mindset with the stamina to perform physically demanding work in various weather conditions.
