As a Remote Game Tester, you will bridge the gap between development teams and the end user. Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough playtesting of new and unreleased video games across PC, console, and mobile platforms to identify functional defects.
- Document and report bugs, glitches, crashes, and visual inconsistencies using clear, concise language in our centralized reporting system.
- Provide qualitative feedback on core game mechanics, level design difficulty, user interface (UI) intuitiveness, and narrative flow.
- Execute specific test cases and regression tests to ensure previously reported issues have been successfully resolved by the development team.
- Collaborate effectively with developers and project managers through regular progress reports and follow-up communication.
- Manage individual testing schedules to meet project deadlines and ensure comprehensive coverage of all assigned game modules.
- A deep-seated passion for gaming and a broad understanding of various genres, including RPGs, shooters, strategy, and indie titles.
- Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to spot subtle graphical errors or logic inconsistencies in gameplay.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to articulate complex technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.
- High level of self-motivation and the ability to work independently in a remote environment without direct supervision.
- Reliable access to a modern gaming PC or current-generation consoles (PlayStation, Xbox, or Nintendo Switch).
- Basic understanding of the game development lifecycle or previous experience in software quality assurance (QA) is considered a significant advantage.
