Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Jovie Nanny, your primary objective is to provide an engaging and safe environment for children within their own homes. You will be responsible for leading creative activities, including arts and crafts, reading, and active play, ensuring that every day is filled with learning and fun. Beyond entertainment, you will act as a mentor by assisting students with school homework, specifically focusing on English and Math for elementary-aged children up to the 5th grade. Maintaining clear and professional communication with parents is essential, as you will provide updates on daily activities and progress. Additionally, you will handle the light cleanup associated with the days activities to ensure the home remains tidy and organized. Your role is vital in providing backup care and consistent support, helping families navigate their busy lives with peace of mind.
QualificationsTo be successful in this role, you must be a child-focused individual who brings a high level of creativity and energy to every assignment. We require at least one year of professional or personal childcare experience involving children of various ages, from infants upward. Reliability is a cornerstone of our service; therefore, candidates must be at least 18 years of age, possess a valid drivers license, and have access to a reliable vehicle for transportation to and from family homes. You should be available to work at least three days per week between the hours of 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM. We seek candidates who can provide three professional referencestwo related to childcare and one character reference. Physically, the role requires the ability to lift up to 35 pounds and the flexibility to engage in active play, which includes frequent bending, squatting, and moving between the floor and a standing position.
