About the Role
Awesomehues (PixelPier) is a privately owned creative studio dedicated to the evolution and prosperity of financial services, B2B, corporate, and non-profit organizations. We are currently expanding our roster of talented creative professionals and are seeking enthusiastic Freelance Designers who are passionate about high-level craftsmanship and research-driven design. At our core, we prioritize values and potential over a rigid checklist of hard skills, and we invite designers from all backgrounds and experience levels to apply and help us build refined brand identities and impactful marketing materials.
Key ResponsibilitiesAs a freelance contributor to our creative team, you will be responsible for translating complex business goals into visually stunning and strategically sound design solutions. Your work will directly influence how our clients communicate their mission to the world. Key duties include:
- Developing comprehensive brand identities, including logo design, color palettes, and typography systems.
- Creating engaging motion graphics that bring brand stories to life across digital platforms.
- Designing intuitive and aesthetically pleasing user experiences (UX) for websites and digital products.
- Producing high-quality print collateral, ensuring brand consistency across physical touchpoints.
- Crafting professional and persuasive presentation decks using PowerPoint and Google Slides.
- Collaborating with our internal team to refine messaging and creative strategies based on client research.
- Managing project timelines effectively while maintaining a high standard of design excellence.
We are looking for individuals who possess a blend of technical proficiency and a growth mindset. While we value experience, we are most interested in your ability to solve problems through design and your alignment with our studio values. Requirements include:
- A strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in one or more of our core areas: Branding, Motion, UX, Print, or Presentation Design.
- Proficiency in industry-standard design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects), Figma, or Sketch.
- The ability to work independently in a remote environment while maintaining clear and consistent communication.
- A meticulous eye for detail and a commitment to delivering polished, client-ready work.
- A proactive approach to learning and the flexibility to adapt to varying project requirements.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple freelance assignments simultaneously.
- Strong storytelling skills and the ability to explain the rationale behind design decisions.
